What are your education credentials?
BA in Geology/Biology and MA in Elementary Education.
What do you most enjoy about teaching?:
What a feeling to go to work each morning knowing that you'll be greeted by a bunch of
enthusiastic kids, helpful parents, and a great, supportive staff!
What are your favorite school memories?
A surprise picnic lunch that my 2003 fourth-grade class pulled off for teacher appreciation week.
And reading a Civil War/"Life as a slave" paper in which a student described that the slave
family ate bread and water during the week but had a special meal on Sunday, probably lasagna.
What's your favorite kids' book?
Bud, Not Buddy, by Christopher Paul Curtis.
What's your favorite thing to do outside of school?
I love hiking and camping, reading, and spending time on a tiny island in the mighty
St. Lawrence River where I'll one day have a little cottage.
Will you tell us about your family and/or pets?
My family is small. I live in North Boulder with one housemate (Laura) and two sweet
kitties (Ptoly and Clea).
