I feel fortunate to have spent some time at Douglass last spring. It gave me a chance to meet many of the students and some parents. I come to you having been an educator for 21 years. I was a classroom teacher for ten years. I taught fourth grade in Casa Grande, Arizona, for eight years. I taught fifth and sixth grade in a multiage, looping setting for two years in Casper, Wyoming. I have spent the past eleven years as a princi- pal in Casper. And, somewhere in those eleven years I was also working simultaneously as a principal and director of Title 1 services for the Natrona County School District. I bring a vast array of experiences with me as I transition to Douglass. I am looking forward to an amazing experience here with all of you.
